Farewell to Batgirls

Yep its crazy to say goodbye to a forum but I guess I need to. I will miss a lot of wonderful friends I had there. I hope to see them around still but you just never know what will happen. Goodbye to a great idea that never quite reached its potential. When you were fab you were the best ever! Now onward and upward to see what the next chapter holds!

Baked chicken recipe

Like the rest of you I am on the hunt for more frugal meals. This is one I already do and thought I would share the recipe.

1 Whole Chicken (thawed)

1 Cooking bag the size of your chicken

1 pkg of Onion soup mix

Preheat your oven to 350 degree’s. Put the chicken in the bag and pour the package of onion soup mix over it. Add some water too if you desire but no more than 1/2 cup. Use the ties to close it up and toss in the oven for a couple hours. Easy and its always yummy. Use the juices for gravy if you like or save them for another meal. We like to have this with rice and some veggies.

Note: doesn’t hurt to follow the directions on the cooking bag box and add the tbsp of flour and the cut slits in the top of the bag. I forget to do it about half the time and it always works anyway.

I loved this one. If you havn’t read a Dean Koontz novel then go get one and try it out. You won’t be disapointed. Lots of action, suspense, and the good guys win in th end. I read a lot of books, most I trade in but my Dean Koontz books i reread here and there. This last one is no exception. Now I am eagerly waiting on the next of the Odd series.

Katelynn is walking.

Wow already. And only 10 months old. Time flies so fast. I can’t believe she’s already walking. And she says her first word. Its mommy.. I am such a lucky mama.

I love knitting!

Its so fun making things for our baby girl. 🙂 And knitting is wonderfully peaceful and relaxing. Here’s a pic of a couple of my latest projects. I think the next thing I try will be a sweater.
