Sporadic blog post….

I can’t seem to post daily so I guess I’ll just enjoy what I manage.

I recently read Darkness Dawns by Dianne Duvall. Got it free for my Kindle on Amazon. Great deal and a fun and enjoyable read. Its

yet another vampire meets girl romance. Not original but perfect for a quiet afternoon read.

I’m currently knitting on a Springtime in Hollis cardigan. I am modifying it though into a pullover. And it will be a nice shade of mellow yellow which is little K’s favorite color.

Taken by Midnight by Lara Adrian

Number 8 of the Midnight Breed series. I enjoyed it. Can’t wait for Hunter’s story next.

Vamps in the City by Kerrelyn Sparks

I didn’t like it. I pushed my way through this since the series is supposed to be funny or something. I think its just not gritty enough for me.

Dragons Blood and Dragons Bones by Patricia Briggs

I enjoyed these to the max. Great storyline! Try them!

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

Wow this was hard to read. I found it really brutal not something I would be thrilled for my kid to read for some years yet. Its marked as YA but I thinks its a very adult story. It was well written and fast paced. There are sequels but I doubt I read them as the storyline was heartrending.

Bitten by Kelley Armstrong

Okay for a first book. This is a werewolf romance. I found it really slow to get through for the first half or so. It did finally pick up towards the end and I enjoyed how she ended the story. Elena was a weird contrast of strength and emotionally weak and I am sure the weak part is what made it tedious for me to read. Still not a bad read.

Time to try blogging again!

I find I am in the mood to try this again. Hopefully I can keep up. I plan to change the direction some and use it more for keeping track of the books I am reading and the crafts and knitting I do.

Hannah is missing two front teeth!

She lost her second one at school this week and came home so excited! She wrote a letter to the tooth fairy asking where the teeth go. So daddy made her a note in reply that said the tooth fairy uses them for fairy dust. She was delighted. Look how cute she is!

Longies for Fall!!

I made these for KateLynn using MM Winter Pear yarn on Targee wool. They are nice and squishy and I hope to find an girly orange or brown shirt to work with them. Paul say’s they are a boyish though.

The sweater is the knitting pure and simple bolero and the longies are the Burgh Baby Gear pattern. The yarn was from Three Irish Girls and its was lovely to work with!
