Sporadic blog post….

I can’t seem to post daily so I guess I’ll just enjoy what I manage.

I recently read Darkness Dawns by Dianne Duvall. Got it free for my Kindle on Amazon. Great deal and a fun and enjoyable read. Its

yet another vampire meets girl romance. Not original but perfect for a quiet afternoon read.

I’m currently knitting on a Springtime in Hollis cardigan. I am modifying it though into a pullover. And it will be a nice shade of mellow yellow which is little K’s favorite color.

Immortals After Dark Series by Kresley Cole

I will just put all the books I read here rather than individual posts. Fun story line with Valkyrie, vampires, werewolves, ect. I read all that are out except a couple in the middle i haven’t located yet.  All the stories were gritty and fast paced with entertaining characters.

Playing Easy to Get

A Hunger Like No Other

No Rest for the Wicked

Wicked  Deeds on a Winters Night

Kiss of  a Demon King

Deep Kiss of  Winter

Pleasure of a Dark Prince

Demon from the Dark

Taken by Midnight by Lara Adrian

Number 8 of the Midnight Breed series. I enjoyed it. Can’t wait for Hunter’s story next.

Vamps in the City by Kerrelyn Sparks

I didn’t like it. I pushed my way through this since the series is supposed to be funny or something. I think its just not gritty enough for me.

Dragons Blood and Dragons Bones by Patricia Briggs

I enjoyed these to the max. Great storyline! Try them!

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

Wow this was hard to read. I found it really brutal not something I would be thrilled for my kid to read for some years yet. Its marked as YA but I thinks its a very adult story. It was well written and fast paced. There are sequels but I doubt I read them as the storyline was heartrending.

Bitten by Kelley Armstrong

Okay for a first book. This is a werewolf romance. I found it really slow to get through for the first half or so. It did finally pick up towards the end and I enjoyed how she ended the story. Elena was a weird contrast of strength and emotionally weak and I am sure the weak part is what made it tedious for me to read. Still not a bad read.

Pride Mates – Jennifer Ashley

Another werewolf book. Yes I seem to have a theme going here. Anyway this was a little different and took me some time to get into. I did end up enjoying it and will look for more if she writes them.
